La machine convient parfaitement aux endroits sensibles aux bruits comme les hôpitaux ou les écoles. En outre, l'appareil dispose d'un indicateur de capacité de la batterie. La vitesse est réglable. Pendant le fonctionnement, la vitesse est automatiquement ajustée pour obtenir les performances optimales requises. La machine est équipée de la fonction anti-enchevêtrement, permettant de dégager l'herbe emmêlée autour de la lame en changeant le sens de rotation pendant quelques secondes. Pour plus de sécurité le coupe-herbe sans fil Makita DUR 187 et muni d'un frein moteur.
