Elle dispose d'un pare-éclats interchangeable, est antidérapante et peut être combinée avec les bandes de roulement supérieures pour des longueurs plus importantes. Le pare-éclats est transparent et ne se voit donc pas sur le rail de guidage. L'adaptateur D de guide-chaîne Makita est spécialement conçu pour la Makita DHS 680. L'adaptateur permet de fixer rapidement et facilement la scie circulaire manuelle sur un rail de guidage pour effectuer des coupes 100% droites et précises.
