La meuleuse DeWalt DWE 4257 se caractérise par sa puissance et par sa boîte d'engrenage à profil surbaisse afin de pouvoir travailler dans les endroits confinés. La machine est munie d'une vitesse électronique variable pour adapter la vitesse en fonction des matériaux travailler. Pour plus de sécurité, la meuleuse DeWalt DWE 4257 est équipée d'un couple électromécanique pour réduire l'effet anti-retour en cas de blocage du disque et d'une protection qui empêche touts démarrages intempestifs. La machine possède une protection contre les surcharges et les surchauffe qui arrête le moteur afin de permettre le refroidissement du mécanisme et un système d'éjection des poussières pour une protection supplémentaire du moteur. Plus de confort grâce à la poignée latérale anti-vibration.
